SUBWAY JUNIOR MANAGER

S.S. Subway Ltd. is currently considering responsible, mature candidates who have a passion for food services and exceptional customer service for the position of Junior Management.  We are currently accepting applications for this position for our restaurants in the greater St. John’s, Mount Pearl and Paradise areas.

Position Summary

To maintain and exceed overall industry and franchise standards for our Subway Restaurants.  Directs, coordinates, and participates in all general operational categories of a restaurant including staff coordination and delegation, quality and quantity of products, record keeping and paperwork, restaurant and equipment maintenance.  Duties would be assured by a more senior level of management such as a Senior Manager or a Multi Unit Manager.

Tasks and Competencies

1.        Completes and posts the daily and weekly shift work assignment schedule for all personnel in the designated location.

2.       Observes all personnel at the beginning of work shifts for compliance with appearance and uniform standards.

3.       Verbally inform personnel of any factors that relate to food production and shift responsibilities.

4.       Assures food preparation and dining area for wash, rinse, sanitize program, food safety, and food handling procedures.

5.       Checks stations for adequacy of supplies used for refill or replacement purpose.

6.       Assists team of employees in greeting customers, taking orders, cash system, collecting payment from customers, assembling order and checking for completeness and correctness, and packing orders for take-out diners.

7.       Participates in food preparation and quality assurance.

8.       Generates or collects and reviews daily and weekly business reports completed by the management team for compliance with standards, to track and forecast sales, to determine cash flow, and to plan the purchase of future orders and supplies.  Ensure that performance goals set by Corporate Management are met each week.

9.       Coordinates and supervises the cleaning and maintenance of the restaurant and equipment.

10.    Trains and Evaluates personnel.

11.    Work alongside Relations Department to ensure staffing levels are met with quality.

Requirements

Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent.  Food Services or Business Administration Certificate/Diploma is considered an asset.  First Aid, Food Safety, and Occupational Health and Safety Training are considered an asset.

Experience:  A minimum of 2 years in a QSR environment.  Preferably management QSR experience however consideration may be given based on qualifications and customer service experience.

 

SUBWAY JUNIOR MANAGER II

S.S. Subway Ltd. is currently considering responsible, mature candidates who have a passion for food services and exceptional customer service for the position of Junior Management.  We are currently accepting applications for this position for our restaurants in the greater St. John’s, Mount Pearl and Paradise areas.

Role and Responsibilities

Junior Management are responsible for supervising the operations of a store location to ensure that food safety, product preparation, cleanliness, and inventory and cost control standards are maintained.  This position would include training staff and evaluating staff.  Maintains standards of restaurant safety and security.  Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.  Must be able to perform all tasks and responsibilities of a Sandwich Artist in addition to supervising the overall store operations.  Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed.  Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts.

1.        Trains newer or less experienced Sandwich Artists in their tasks and responsibilities.

2.       Practices inventory control standards as outlined in the Operations Manual.

3.       Inspects equipment and storage facilities throughout a shift to ensure that equipment is in proper working order.

4.       Handle scheduling conflicts as they arise.

5.       Performs paperwork duties as needed.

6.       Manages a staff of approximately 4 to 16.  Assigns, oversees and evaluates work.  Recommends promotion, transfer, or termination of employees.  May conduct written and verbal staff evaluations.

7.       Coordinates and supervises staff so that standards of cleanliness are maintained as outlined in the Operations Manual.

8.       As needed, food preparation to ensure that food safety and operations standards are maintained.

9.       Assists with planning of special events and promotions.

10.    Maintains business records as outlined in the Operations Manual.  Analyzes business records to increase sales and profitability.

11.    Communicates changes of food preparations formulas, standards, etc. to staff.

12.    Supports local and national marketing initiatives.

13.    Ensures that all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained and company safety and security policies are followed.

14.    Performs and directs overall store management. 

15.    Responsible for inventory and money control systems.

16.    Directs staff to ensure that food safety, product preparation, and cleanliness standards are maintained.

SUBWAY SANDWICH ARTIST

S.S. Subway Ltd. is currently accepting applications for the positions of Full and Part Time Sandwich Artists at our restaurant locations in the greater St. John’s, Mount Pearl and Paradise areas. Included are also daytime only shifts and overnight shifts, or a variety of all shifts.  With multiple locations and 24-hour operations, we have a shift to suit everyone.

As a Sandwich Artist, you will have the opportunity to serve our customers the freshest products in a friendly, efficient, manner, all in a clean and organized environment.

Duties/Responsibilities

2.       Create original Subway sandwiches for every customer with direct interaction.

5.       Prepare Subway products to food safety/quality standards

6.       General housekeeping duties such as mopping, wash, rinse, sanitize systems.

Requirements
